Design Evolution:
"hummingbird in flight Bold, painterly illustrations with smooth, hand-painted textures (not photorealistic). Bright, flat backgrounds (often white, cream, or a single block of color). Strong, clean outlines and slightly exaggerated proportions. Lighthearted, humorous, and whimsical tone. Often anthropomorphized — balancing a pint, carrying it, or looking astonished. The pint of Guinness is always the focal point, glossy, iconic, with creamy head. Simple, uncluttered scenes with lots of negative space. Centered characters, often in playful motion or comic surprise. Sometimes features a zookeeper or working man (in flat cap/overalls) reacting to the animals. Strong sense of poster design, easy to “read” at a glance. Cheerful, cheeky, humorous. Whimsical surrealism: animals performing human-like feats (balancing, juggling, running with Guinness).
